Peter Houde is an audit partner with over 20 years of experience serving a variety of privately-held clients, including clients within the manufacturing, distribution, retail, service and not-for-profit industries. Peter’s responsibilities include the management and direction of his clients’ audits, reviews and tax return preparation services. Peter has significant audit experience working with not-for-profit organizations including audits of institutions of higher education and federal financial assistance programs. Peter has an excellent working knowledge of the various Internal Revenue Service and Department of Education reporting requirements for not-for-profit organizations and specializes in the audit of clients’ compliance with the compliance requirements of OMB Circular A-133, and the review and filing of clients’ Form 990.
Irene Houde is an audit partner with over 10 years of experience serving a variety of public and privately held clients. Prior to joining Houde & Company, Irene worked for 8 years at Ernst & Young LLP in Boston, Massachusetts, serving clients in a variety of industries, specializing in the biotechnology market. At Ernst & Young, Irene was responsible for the management and direction of her teams in the review or audit of her clients’ quarterly and annual financial reports submitted to the SEC on Forms 10-K and 10-Q and was directly involved with audits of her clients’ internal control over financial reporting under Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley act. At Houde & Company, Irene is responsible for the management and direction of her clients’ audits, reviews, and tax return preparation services. Irene serves clients in a variety of industries with a concentration in the not-for-profit sector. Irene has significant experience with the requirements and provisions of generally accepted accounting procedures (GAAP) as it applies to all organizations and with audits of not-for-profits’ compliance with the compliance requirements of OMB Circular A-133.
Paul E. Houde is an audit partner with over 45 years of experience serving a variety of privately held clients, and with extensive experience in the auditing of institutions of higher education and federal financial assistance programs. Paul has significant experience working with clients on their financing plans and providing suggestions to clients of ways to mitigate risks and exposures in their financial and operational departments. Paul’s role as an independent review partner on many of the firm’s client engagements provides a second level of review and consultation with respect to key and significant accounting transactions and the financial statements.”
